Estimated Total: 0.0 tCO2e

Scope 1 — Direct Emissions

On-site fuel combustion, fleet vehicles, refrigerant losses, and generators. All figures should be annual totals for the reporting period.

Stationary Combustion
Boilers, heaters, machinery
Cooking, heating, process
Piped gas for heating or process
Diesel for on-site generators
Mobile Combustion (Fleet)
Primary fuel used by company vehicles
Total fleet fuel usage
Fugitive Emissions
Type used in HVAC systems
Annual top-up / recharge amount

Scope 2 — Indirect Energy Emissions

Purchased electricity, district cooling, and renewable energy. Grid emission factor is auto-selected based on your country (Qatar).

Purchased Electricity
Total grid electricity from utility bills
Auto-selected (IEA 2023)
District Cooling
Particularly relevant in Qatar and the Gulf
Solar PPA, green certificates (deducted)

Scope 3 — Value Chain Emissions

Upstream and downstream emissions from business travel, employee commuting, purchased goods, waste, and water.

Business Travel (Cat. 6)
Total flight hours across all employees
Most common class of travel
Employee Commuting (Cat. 7)
Employees commuting by car
Average single-direction commute
Purchased Goods & Services (Cat. 1)
Spend-based method: ~0.4 kgCO2e per USD (cross-sector average)
Waste & Water (Cat. 5 & Other)
Mixed general waste sent to landfill
Desalinated supply (Qatar default)

Frequently Asked Questions

We use IEA 2023 grid emission factors for all GCC countries, DEFRA 2024 conversion factors for fuels and refrigerants, and IPCC AR6 GWP values. Factors include diesel (2.71 kgCO2e/L), petrol (2.315 kgCO2e/L), LPG (2.98 kgCO2e/kg), natural gas (2.02 kgCO2e/m3), and country-specific grid factors (e.g., Qatar 0.4896 kgCO2e/kWh). All factors are updated annually.

Carbon Diagnostic Pro includes GCC-specific features not found in generic calculators: district cooling (ton-hours), desalinated water emission factors, country-specific grid factors for all six GCC nations, refrigerant losses with GWP values, and a fleet fuel type selector (petrol/diesel/mixed). The tool also covers five key Scope 3 categories including spend-based procurement emissions.

The free diagnostic provides a screening-level estimate. The Standard and Professional tiers produce ISO 14064-1 compliant GHG inventories. The Verified tier includes GAB-accredited ISO 14064-3 third-party verification.

The free diagnostic covers five key Scope 3 categories: business travel (Cat. 6) with cabin class differentiation, employee commuting (Cat. 7) based on distance and headcount, purchased goods and services (Cat. 1) using the spend-based method, waste (Cat. 5), and water supply. The Professional tier covers all 15 Scope 3 categories.

District cooling is particularly relevant in Qatar and the Gulf. We use an estimated factor of 0.5 kgCO2e per ton-hour, which accounts for the electricity used by the district cooling plant, chilled water distribution, and pump energy. This factor is conservative and suitable for screening purposes. A full inventory would use plant-specific efficiency data.

The free diagnostic results can be printed or saved as PDF directly from the browser using the "Download as PDF" button. Paid tiers include professional PDF reports, Excel data exports, and board-ready presentation templates.

All data is transmitted securely via HTTPS and processed in accordance with Qatar PDPL and our Privacy Policy. We do not share your data with third parties. Assessment data is retained for 12 months unless you request deletion.
